University of Manchester Case Study
Published :The Brief
We were approached by The University of Manchester to come up with a double-sided display stand, which was portable and reconfigurable for a 6m x 3m space. They were looking for something more cost effective to our high-end systems, which is why Impact Modular was offered. Installation and breakdown service was also requested.
They had already come up with a concept on how the layout was to look and it really did suit the Impact Modular stand. So we created a drawing based on the layout that they wanted with the addition that they wanted a large TV on the front and back of the stand.
Why Impact Modular
Impact Modular was the option that fitted the costing and required size of the main stand. The plan was then altered to incorporate an additional freestanding TV column that could support two 50" monitors away from the main display. We opted to make this section of the stand from a custom size T3 modular frame to support the weight of these large TV’s.
Together with the artwork a 3d visual was supplied on how the final stand should look. Once the artwork was approved, we printed the graphic panels and tested them on the framework to check everything was correct, and then prepared everything for their event at the Manchester Central Convention Centre.
The Installation
On the day of the installation we transported the stand components to the venue, and once the floor had been laid we set up the stand. The final result was a great looking and vibrant exhibition stand, which looked clean and modern.
The University was very happy with our full service, installation, breakdown and storage facility as well as all the planning advice combined with our print production. They were a great pleasure to work with and the stand will last them for many events in the future whether used as the original concept or individual sections.
